A canine can experience many of the same oral problems as a human. Believe it or not, dogs can get Gingivitis. This is caused by a build-up of tartar and plaque on the teeth. Periodontal Disease can also be found in dogs. This can occur should any infection of the gums not be tended to. Cavities will form and bacteria will invade the opening. Another Dental issue found in dogs is Pyorrhea. This is an advanced stage of infection which can effect the bone, causing your pet to suffer from addition infection and the loss of teeth. |
